http://www.glaucoma.org/treatment/medical-marijuana.php

Glaucoma is an age related disease that occurs when there is aqueous humor build up in the eye, which is fluid that can't be released. This is called IOP, or intraocular pressure. This causes pain and blurriness and can even lead to blindness if left untreated. It is the second leading cause of blindness after cataract's. This article is about the effective use of marijuana to help relieve this intraocular pressure. It states in the article that this method of treatment is not as effective as prescriptions prescribed by a doctor but can temporarily relieve pain associated with this disease.
